City Life vs. Regional Life: Sendai

With the spread of remote work, choices of where to live are expanding. It is no longer rare for people to leave big cities like Sendai and relocate to regional areas.

The appeal of the city lies in job opportunities and convenience. bicycle access is good, and everything you need is within walking distance. On the other hand, high rent and crowded commutes also lower the quality of life.

Regional life offers rich nature and lower living costs; on the flip side, choices in healthcare and education are limited. As for work, local employment opportunities can hardly be called sufficient yet.

Neither is the single right answer. What matters is choosing where to live after clarifying what you prioritize in your own life.
