Verb (te-form) + いるところです

Explanation

Describes what you are doing right now. Useful when someone asks about your task status: 今、調べているところです (I'm looking into it right now). Compare: 〜するところです (about to do), 〜したところです (just did).

今、バグの原因を調べているところです。

いま、ばぐのげんいんをしらべているところです。

ima, bagu no gen'in o shirabete iru tokoro desu

I am in the middle of investigating the cause of the bug right now.

資料を作っているところです。
