raishuu, toukyou no kaisha de enjinia no mensetsu o ukeru koto ni natta. ima sunde iru oosaka kara, raigetsu hikkosu tsumori da. kaisha ga ookii node, shain mo ooi rashii. tenshoku wa hajimete na node, kinchou shite iru.

Next week, I will have an interview for a engineer position at a company in Tokyo. I plan to move next month from Osaka, where I live now. The company is big, so it seems to have many employees. This is my first time changing jobs, so I am nervous.

mensetsu de wa, tenshoku riyuu ya jibun no tsuyomi ni tsuite kikareru hazu da. sokode, kotae o junbi shite, koe ni dashite renshuu suru koto ni shita. kotae wa kami ni kaite matomete aru.

In the interview, I will surely be asked about my reason for changing jobs and my strengths. So I decided to prepare answers and practice saying them out loud. I have written the answers down on paper and organised them.

nihongo de no mensetsu wa kantan de wa nai ga, yukkuri hanaseba tsutawaru to senpai ni adobaisu o moratta. tsuyoi koe de hanaseba, jishin ga aru you ni mieru rashii. akarui henji mo ii ga, sore dake de wa juubun de wa nai. kanpekina nihongo yori, seijitsuna taido no hou ga taisetsu da sou da.

Interviews in Japanese are not easy, but a senior gave me advice that if I speak slowly, I will be understood. Apparently if you speak in a strong voice, you look confident. A cheerful reply is good too, but that alone is not enough. Apparently a sincere attitude matters more than perfect Japanese.

mensetsu no saigo ni wa, kanarazu gyakushitsumon no jikan ga aru. kaisha no bunka ya chiimu no hatarakikata ni tsuite shitsumon suru tsumori da.

At the end of an interview, there is always time for questions from the candidate. I plan to ask about the company culture and how the team works.
